Summertime…

Woodland Garden’s White Clematis

This is from my Woodland Garden, and it is my favourite garden of all time! It is always cool and fresh and I love to work in it when the rest of the gardens are going through a ‘heat’ phase. I much prefer the coolness here, rather than summer heat.

This flower is a Clematis and it blooms without fail evey year sometime in June. The support it gets is from our cedar pergola which, itself, gives some shadow and protection from the hot sun. All of the plants in this garden are, of course, shade lovers.
